First Communion 2012

elcome to the Church of the Epiphany in Cheshire, Connecticut.

Epiphany was established as the first daughter parish of St. Bridget, Cheshire, on September 28, 1967, by Archbishop Henry J. O'Brien. Father Eugene Torpey was appointed founding pastor. The first parish Mass was offered at the Doolittle School on October 1, 1967, with about 300 people participating in the liturgy. In October 1968, Father Torpey broke ground for a parish church on Huckins Road. A year later on October 19, the Church of the Epiphany was dedicated by Archbishop John F. Whealon. A new parish center with a capacity of some 500 was added to the plant and solemnly blessed by Archbishop Whealon on October 17, 1987.
